Bubly Activation
Kicking off the school year amid the pandemic and its challenges, Aggies were offered moments of levity and Aggie Spirit through exclusive gifs, video chat backgrounds and augmented reality Instagram filters, accessed by scanning special QR codes around campus. To encourage engagement, PepsiCo deployed local Texas influencers who created memorable content sharing creative, COVID-safe ways students could enjoy bubly at home or at socially distanced gatherings. The Howdy cherry bubly was available in 16oz and 12oz cans across TX and OK, making an impact with retail displays, truck wraps and other vehicles celebrating the partnership.

Utilizing each social media’s platforms unique strengths, the Texas A&M team promoted the Howdy bubly tab to its more than 567,000 social media followers across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Howdy Boxes
To welcome students back to Aggieland for the beginning of the 2020 fall semester, the Division of Marketing and Communications hosted a digital scavenger hunt giving away 300 “First Day Survival Kits!”
AR Filter
To create a digital experience for Texas A&M fans, the team brought the Howdy bubly can to life! Using an AR filter from the Texas A&M Instagram, users could place the Howdy bubly anywhere in their surroundings and watch the can “pop its tab” and bubbles dance all around.

A digital ad campaign featuring Michael Buble showcased the new Howdy bubly tab. The campaign ran for six weeks and brought over 1,200,000 media impressions to Texas A&M fans in College Station, TX.
Microsite
A link provided on the Howdy Boxes postcard took fans to a Howdy bubly tab microsite. The site is full of bubly and Texas A&M themed Zoom backgrounds, gifs, and sticker downloads to continue to drive digital excitement towards the Howdy bubly tab.

Allowing each creator to speak authentically about the Howdy bubly tab, the influencer marketing campaign brought the #HowdyFromHome messaging to diverse groups across Instagram.
